In parallel with this list I am developing a list to cover steam rollers and other steam engines in Indonesia. Click here for that list. ex-PJKA Steam Locomotives in Java This is a complete list as far as I know, but any further information would be welcome. Builders details are in PNKA Power Parade (and on the linked pages). There are still a number of derelict locomotives scattered around the island, it is not impossible that some will be preserved. Click here for more information about the Ambarawa Railway Museum. Click here for more information about the steam locomotives at the Ambarawa Railway Museum. Click here for more information about the steam locomotives at the Taman Mini Railway Museum. Click here for more information about the other preserved steam locomotives in Java. CC5022 is preserved at the Utrecht Railway Museum, Netherlands $ = ex Deli Railway, North Sumatra @ = ex South Sumatra & = ex West Sumatra F1015 worked in Java before being transferred to West Sumatra 600mm locomotives
ex-PJKA Steam Locomotives in Sumatra Full details are not available. The Sumatra list would include C3325 at Padang, C3322 at Pekan Baru (formerly at Muaro Sijunjung, West Sumatra), one or more of the Deli 2-6-4T at Tebing Tinggi (but nothing was found here in 2008), BB84 in Bandar Aceh, DSM 35 which worked a special for me in August 1993 but which I am told has been placed outside the station in Medan - this may not be quite correct as the loco has the number plate 38 also a DSM 0-6-0T at Pulau Brayan works which is NOT 22!. C3082 is preserved in Lubuk Linggau, South Sumatra. For pictures of the North Sumatra locos please see Geoff Warren's report of a 2008 visit to the area.
