This is an 0-6-0T Hanomag (3636/1901) which has been sectioned to show its workings. Almost nothing is known about its history. It's located at STMN 1 (new name: SMK N 2) engineering school in Yogyakarta, at the crossing of Pangeran Mangkubumi St / AM Sangaji ST with Rudolf Wolter Monginsidi St / Professor Sardjito St. This place is about 1.3 km north of the main railway station directly north of Malioboro. Aryo Hartanto Wibowo (30th April 2023) of the Indonesian Railway Preservation Society, Yogya Area, has confirmed that this is the boiler which was carried by the long lost B1103 which was in store at Lempujangan shed in the city, allegedly for preservation, but it vanished without trace in (I believe) the late 1970s. He has done some measurements which match those given in diagrams for this class of locomotive. This photograph is courtesy of Hery Nugroho (2008).
