B2711

B2711 was constructed by Hartmann (3757/1914). It was originally Semarang Joana Stoomtram Mij 211. This 0-4-2T had two outside cylinders 380 x 400 mm with driving wheel diameter of 1000 mm. Boiler pressure was 12.0 kg/cm2, grate area 0.8 m2 with a heating surface of 35.0 m2, and a superheater surface of 10.0 m2. Overall weight was 22.4 tons with 16.2 tons available for adhesion. B2711 is preserved at the Ambarawa Railway Museum. In the 1970s this class was almost entirely based at Purwodadi although towards the end of steam they were dispersed.
