C2821 was constructed by Henschel (18175/1921), others were built by Hartmann and Esslingen. It was originally Staats Spoorwegen 1321. This 4-6-4T had two outside cylinders 485 x 600 mm with driving wheel diameter of 1503 mm. Boiler pressure was 12.0 kg/cm2, grate area 3.0 m2 with a heating surface of 130.0 m2 and a superheater surface of 44.0 m2. Overall weight was 78.5 tons with 37.5 tons available for adhesion. C2821 is preserved at the Ambarawa Railway Museum. In the 1970s these locomotives were found widely dispersed throughout Java. This photograph is courtesy of John Tillman (1999).
