C5417 was constructed by Beyer Peacock (6122/1922), other examples were built by Hartmann. It was originally Semarang Cheribon Stoomtram Mij 217. This 4-6-0 had two outside cylinders 400 x 520 mm with driving wheel diameter of 1250 mm. Boiler pressure was 12.0 kg/cm2, grate area 1.8 m2 with a heating surface of 81.2 m2 and a superheater surface of 29.0 m2. Overall weight was 38.6 tons with 26.6 tons available for adhesion. C5417 is preserved at the Ambarawa Railway Museum. Locomotives of this class were active in Central Java into the 1970s, a few were even transferred a little earlier to North Sumatra but saw little use.
