CC5029 was constructed by Schweizerische Lokomotiv- und Maschinenfabrik ( SLM) (3253/1928) although others were built by Werkspoor. It was originally Staats Spoorwegen 1629. This 2-6-6-0 Mallet had two outside cylinders 420 x 610 mm (high pressure) and two outside cylinders 650 x 610 mm (low pressure) with driving wheel diameter of 1106 mm. Boiler pressure was 14.0 kg/cm2, grate area 3.4 m2 with a heating surface of 150.8 m2 and a superheater surface of 50.0 m2. Overall weight was 73.5 tons with 66.0 tons available for adhesion. CC5029 is preserved at the Ambarawa Railway Museum having been based at Ambarawa at the time the branch closed to normal traffic. In the 1970s, these locomotives were most notably based at Cibatu in West Java, although they were also found at other depots all along the line between Bandung and Surabaya.
