While doing this research, a number of oddballs turned up, they are by no stretch of the imagination steam tram locomotives but they are curiosities which most serious students of the subject would find interesting , hence their inclusion on this separate page. I have not included (steam) railmotors and steam railcars at this stage (not least because they were never 'trams'), they will follow if I can find the time and energy!

Rockhampton Council Tramways Purrey 1909 1067 0-4-0 Archer Park Railway Museum, Rockhampton, QLD
https://www.archerparkrailmuseum.com/ 
Purrey’s patent, manufactured in Bordeaux, France, and the only known survivor. This is a cannibalised rebuild and so no builder's number applies.

United Kingdom

Neath No. 1 ----- ---- Cefn Coed mining museum near Crynant, said to be the world's only surviving gas powered tram. Used in Neath until the 1920s.More information.
