Tiger Steam - Thailand

Henschel supplied eight Garratt locomotives for the steeply graded Khaen Khoi - Pakchong section in the north-east of the country. 457 was at Bang Sue painted (on one side!) for the photographer in 1971. It is now at Kanchanaburi, wrongly styled as the 'most powerful metre gauge steam locomotive in the World'. (BR)
