Jan Willem van Dorp had two visits to Jatiroto and (Semboro) in 1983 and 1984. By then steam operation here was extremely limited and most of his time was spent at Semboro. Fortunately, he was able to stay at the two pesanggarahan (guest houses) which allowed him to start early and guaranteed that he could go out to the fields and not get stuck after public transport ceased running. I am delighted to present his pictures as the quantity and quality are far superior to anything I achieved. |
