The mill was just south of Sidoarjo which appears to have been 'steam free' for many years with a fleet of small diesels which was of no interest to me. In fact, the only reason that I went to the mill was to check out whether it still had stationary steam engines within the mill itself. It did, but while I was there, I went to record the diesels as I knew other enthusiasts would appreciate the record and was surprised to find two near derelict steam locomotives which had come here from Rejoagung many years ago after that mill finished with steam. I never determined for certain if they worked here, but if so, it would only have been for shunting within the mill complex. Click here for a video of the actual mill in operation. |
