The 24 4-8-0 class was an extremely successful design for the Kenya Uganda Railway dating back to just after the First World War but lasting right till the end of steam in East Africa in the early 1980s. They were built by Vulcan Foundry (mainly) and Nasmyth Wilson. 2439 was at Kisumu on 8th April 1973. (CW2) |
