Looking from the footbridge in the last picture brings you to the shed. On my first ever morning in Haadyai in September 1973, gleaming 840 eased its way off shed to take out a passenger train. The scene was dominated by Japanese Pacifics and Mikados although not all looked quite as good as this one. (RD)
