Ross was primarily committed to cine and his still record of trains on the move is sparse. In the background is Gunung Penanggungan, a near perfect volcanic cone but one which is dwarfed by Gunung Arjuno and Gunung Welirang nearby, both being more than 3000 metres in height. (RS)
