Sumberharjo Sugar Mill

Four visits to Sumberharjo in the 1980s went without a sniff of a classic daylight loaded cane train. In 1990, I spent two nights at the mill guest house to find out where I was going wrong. Arriving from Pemalang in a becak or a minibus on 8th August, I spotted a loaded train 'ready to go' and later I joined 7 bringing it in. (RD)
