As with other mills which had capitulated to the road transport myth, the so-called ‘Pesantren Baru’ had only one field working and that was the mud train. The fact that a Mallet could be allocated to this duty in July 1986, says something about the amount of work that the larger engines had to do under the new order. (RS) |
