Panji Sugar Mill
(600mm gauge)

On average, 600mm gauge systems had smaller locomotives than their 700mm and 750mm gauge siblings making for a high degree of 'charm'. Unfortunately, Panji was blessed with a fleet of small diesels which reduced steam to a bit part and with the move to truck delivery from non-traditional areas, steam had finished by 1991. That was a shame as there was a main line that ran along the main road most of the way to Asembagus and accessible lines to the north of the mill too.
