Pajarakan is another mill that had an influx of new Japanese diesels in the 1980s. Together with the closure of most of the field lines, that led to the 'end of steam'. Fortunately, most of the locomotives were transferred elsewhere, two disastrously to Asembagus and four very successfully to Olean. I actually came here as early as 1976. but there was no time to look around as my transport (a C19 0-6-0T) had to return to Jati (Probolinggo).
