By August 1986, the mill had officially dispensed with oil firing and the locomotives burned bagasse. So the fireman had much more work to do than previously, but that included having a drum of sump oil on the footplate, into which bagasse would be dipped before going into the firebox. 7 is hauling its train just north of Duwet.
