Like most of the former French colonies, Senegal lost its main line steam power at an early date. By 5th August 1967, steam's last outpost was the ground-nut oil factory of Sodec Lyndiane near Kaolak where this metre gauge 0-6-0T - Haine St. Pierre (1905/1947), with the numbers 37-116 and 0.3.0-86-2 - was in store.
