Safari Steam North

In Senegal as in most of Francophone Africa you had to look hard for active steam. This old 2-6-0T was built by Société Alsacienne de Constructions Mécaniques, Belfort as their 4451/1893. It was used for shunting at the ground-nut oil factory of Sodec Lyndiane near Kaolak on 5th August 1967. (JW)
