Safari Steam North

Back in August 1966, Cliff Schoff found a 2ft (610mm) gauge logging railway running from Obuasi (south of Kumasi) for 37km into the hills. The motive power was nine diesel locomotives. The railway was owned by the Ashanti Goldfields company and is believed to have lasted until the mid-1990s. (CS1)
