Conscious that we were having wooden floors and needed a 'shoes off' environment and also that much heat is lost through a front door, I insisted on a porch. I must have blinked for a long time, because when I opened my eyes it had turned into a breakfast room. 'It won't cost too much!' I was told, I don't know what it did cost but it does the job, even in December it's warm enough for lunch...
