The Oil Palm Railways of North Sumatra

Gunung Bayu 12 well illustrates the problems facing the photographer in the oil palm estates, the green loco merges into the background and long grass obscures the motion as it returns to the mill at midday on 30th July 1987. Mallets were even more difficult to photograph with their overhanging tanks. (RD)
