Yuehong and I got together in late 2003 having met on the steam powered
narrow gauge logging railway in Manchuria earlier in the year. We were based
in China from 2004 until 2010 when we sold up and moved to the UK, at the
same time acquiring a second home in Penang and this page links to a series of pages covering
our trips to Burma.

Rob
and Yuehong in the Golden Land 2009, Part 1 - This includes more general
reports of the trip (OK, a blog) as well as much stationary steam. An
amazing journey north to south through Burma, starting in China,
with many a side track along the way. |

Lots of unusual experiences travelling off the beaten track, mixed up with
the usual rice mill nonsense. |
 |
Hastings, Domesday..., Burma 2010
- Burma in transition and the rice harvest in Mon State among the
usual range of unusual experiences. |

boats'. |
