Parkbahn Letten, Switzerland

Thomas Kautzor writes about Switzerland's other 600mm gauge steam railway, the better known one being  the Schinznacher Baumschulbahn..

0-4-0T "LIRIO" (Max Orenstein 173/1896, 20hp, ex Soc. Gen. Azucarera de España, Málaga, with replacement boiler OK 4519/1910), which was imported from Spain in 10/2011, regularly operates on special occasions at Parkbahn Letten near Zürich (see http://parkbahn-letten.ch/home.shtml for dates), the following pictures are from April 27, 2014.

The railway has three operational diesels:

Diema DS12 Nr. 1549/1952:
01/2010 ex Höne & von Lehmden peat works, Vechta-Grünemoor/DE;
ex Burania, Evers & Cie. cement works.

LKM Ns2f Nr. 48432/1953 “Heidi”:
c2006 ex R. Kern, Bülach/Zurich;
199x ex Bergbaumuseum Ottiliaschacht, Clausthal-Zellerfeld/DE;
07/1993 ex Sodawerke Strassfurt GmbH, until 1990 ex VEB Vereinigte Sodawerke Strassfurt Nr. 4.

OK Dortmund MD2b 25064/1951:
2008 ex private owner, Siebnen/SZ;
ex Prader AG, Zürich;
ex Wander-Wendel.

The railway also has unrestored Schöma LO16 Nr. 886/1948 (01/2010 ex Höne & Siemer peat works, Vechta/DE) and a dismantled B+B EL30 Tandem loco.
