Beauport, Guadeloupe, 1995 |

After Thomas Kautzor posted his report of his
visit to Guadeloupe in 2013, Philipp Kurasch forwarded him some pictures
which were taken on a visit to Beauport with his father in 1995 (after the mill had closed and before it reopened as a museum).
A selection is included below.
Thomas adds that the steam loco is 0-6-0T "Pierre" (Krauss K3/3 8496/1931) and he wonders what has become of it since. Inside the loco shed (part of which is now used as a pig-stall) next to the receiving yard were three Brookville diesels No. 1/4/5, two of which are now on display at the museum. There were also lots of cane wagons still around back then.
