Wang Kapi Sugar Mill near Uttaradit
operated a 750mm gauge railway with a metre gauge connection to the
main line nearby. Several of the narrow gauge locomotives recorded
here were 0-6-0PT delivered by Hudswell Clarke over the years to the
Siam Forest Company Limited and the Anglo-Siam Corporation.
According to the maker's list, they were delivered as metre gauge so
must have been regauged when transferred from the forestry systems.
There were also some 0-4-2T here, one of which may have been a
Baguley (similar to the one at Lampang), the others from Orenstein
and Koppel.
These were the three Baguley
locomotives delivered to Thailand in 1921 to work on the
construction of a 750mm line from Thonburi north some 30 miles to
Bang Bua Thong in Nontaburi Province. They were retained after
construction was complete and worked on the line until it was
abandoned around 1940-2.
