Tiger Steam - Thailand

MacArthur 428 leaves Thonburi station with a mixed train for the south line in March 1974. By 2000, the station was almost abandoned and many of the tracks lifted although the tower and offices behind remain. Commercial pressures on the railway seem to have dictated that the valuable site be redeveloped to release much needed funds. This picture was taken from the road flyover west of the station, the next from the same position after turning through 180 degrees. (BR)
