45 was one of 5 diesel hydraulic 0-6-0s ordered from Krauss-Maffei in the 1950s, the first of their type in the country. It was pilot at Thonburi in April 1974. Not shown here are the not dissimilar Hunslet 0-6-0s supplied in 1965. (RD)
