Safari Steam South

In 1980, Zambian Railways had a motive power crisis which was solved by hiring in locomotives from South Africa. SAR 12R 4-8-2 1944 was on shed at Livingstone at midday on 22nd May, apparently on its way home. Photography on shed was, of course, strictly forbidden as a legacy of the recent war conditions. (RD)
