3 years on and 6024 had been displaced from the main line and was in charge of the thrice-weekly Pakwach to Kampala train at Manafwa on 6th January 1971. With the subsequent run-down in steam activity and the rise to power of Idi Amin, few other enthusiasts can have seen working steam here later. (HB)
