Senegal, the western-most French colony in the bight of Africa, had important port facilities of Dakar, and was its extensive metre gauge rail gateway to the interior. The locomotive on local duties in the port area is a Batignolles 0-6-0T from a series constructed between 1883 and 1901. Posted in 1909. (CW1 Collection)
