Safari Steam North

The "Usambarabahn" was the most northerly German line in this colony, and headed west to the interior from the Indian Ocean port of Tanga. The postcard dates from the German period and the train engine is a Jung 0-4-4-0T Mallet built in 1900. (CW1 Collection)
