Safari Steam South

There were 30 of the 'G' class which were essentially a North British design (like the Nigerian 'Rivers') although 49 here in August 1968 and which was later retained for preservation was actually built by Henschel (28978/1954). Some others were built by Vulcan Foundry. (BR)
