The Trans Zambesia Railway originally operated the section between Dondo and Murraca in Moçambique. It maintained its name after the connection to Malawi was completed when the Zambesi was bridged. With operating rights into Beira, their locomotives such as 'G' class 2-8-2 46 in 1968 were a regular sight there. (BR)
