Safari Steam North

The 60 class 4-8-2 + 2-8-4 Garratts were the last steam locomotives delivered to East Africa. Some were built by Beyer Peacock, but a few like 6013 photographed at Maktau on 31st December 1979 were sub-contracted to Franco-Belge. Working this water train was almost its last duty before retirement. (RD)
