The 10 class 2-6-4T were built by Nasmyth Wilson in 1913 and had a working life of over 50 years, even seeing use on passenger trains on the Nanyuki and Butere branches (with auxiliary water tenders). 1005 at Kiusumu in January 1968 was probably the last active survivor. (BR) |
