A few years later, Terry Bagworth travelled the same route. 5510 and 3120 'Basese' were at Maktau on 28th September 1972. This is one of the more attractive lines in Kenya yet I have seen very few pictures of it. Fortunately, I was able to visit it a few times before steam finished. (TB)
