By the time I got to Nairobi in mid-1979, only teething problems with the new diesel shunters kept steam going in the yard here. The following pictures graphically illustrate the conditions of the locomotives in their final days into 1981. This shows 3105 'Bagisu' and 2908 'Elgeyo' outside Nairobi shed shortly after I arrived.
