This small Bagnall 0-4-0ST 'Hugh F. Marriott' was for many years a shunter for the Magadi Soda Company which extracted salt and soda from Lake Magadi in the Rift Valley. This line was dieselised quite early as there was very little water suitable for locomotives and it is surprising it lasted till 1970. (RD)
