Quite what 3024 'Sukuma' was doing shunting cattle wagons at Athi River on 24th September 1972 is unclear. This was a Tanzanian locomotive which must have been sent up for overhaul at the works, and since it is filthy it had presumably been appropriated by shed staff to cover for another unavailable locomotive.
