The long section beyond Voi was relatively inaccessible in the days when parts of the Mombasa to Nairobi road were still unsealed, but a few visitors got to see the 59 class at work here. 5911 'Mount Sekerri' leaves Voi with a freight and starts the long slog uphill on 29th September 1972. (TB)
