Safari Steam North

Heading north out of Sekondi on the original Gold Coast Railway main line, the first place of railway significance is Tarkwa. 4-8-0 172 was shunting here on 1st December 1967. In fact, the original driving force for railway construction had been the discovery of gold in this area. (JW)
