It seemed as if every major railway in Africa had to have Garratts at some stage. Six came here during the Second World War. 2-8-2 + 2-8-2 305 'Koforidua' (Beyer Peacock, 7061/1943), formerly WD 74404, lay out of use at Achiasi Junction on 2nd December 1967 along with others of the class including 306 'Accra'.
