Although I have never visited it, the Ghana Railways system seems to me to have been one of the most 'British' in Africa. Despite the narrower gauge and the kind of wheel arrangement not seen in the UK, the lines of the locomotive, the water crane and the semaphore signals are all very familiar. (JW)
