The last section to be reopened was between Nefasit and Embatkalla. 442.54 and 442.55 performed a dummy departure for Asmara from Ghinda on 4th December 2000. The section of track from here to Embatkalla had been in place for a while but seemed not to have been brought up to operational standard. (HH)
