The 1912 built SS Usoga is seen at work in the 'recent times section. To some they may appear a colonial anachronism, but the lake steamers represent a time when there was a will (albeit imposed) for the peoples of the area to work together. In the last 20 years, there has been a slow rebuilding of that co-operation. (TB Collection)
