During Mike Swift's visit the active locomotives were 14A Garratts LO 809 and LO 811. Here they line up ready to be coaled. There is no electrified line in Botswana - the warning sign came with the locomotive from Zimbabwe. Coal originally came from Moropule off a branch from Palapye on the line to Gaborone (see map).
