Safari Steam South

The 600mm gauge CF de Amboim ran from Porto Amboim 130km inland to Gabela on the Amboim plateau at an altitude of 1100m. It was built to serve extensive coffee plantations. On duty at a water stop on an outbound train in April 1970 was 61, a Henschel 2-6-0T more modern than it appears (28458/1950). (BR)
