By April 1970 the last vestige of the once extensive 600mm gauge system in the south of Angola was the branch from Sa da Bandeira to Vila de Almoster. Staple motive power were Orenstein and Koppel 0-8-2Ts of which 66 was now stored surplus to requirements at the junction with the 1067mm gauge main line. (BR)
